Ebook About
A Special Forces commando returns home from combat to America on the edge of apocalypse. He and his family land a gig running security for a wealthy clan of survivors, yet most of the group struggles to make peace with the sudden death of modern sensibilities and woke culture. Can a few salty warfighters convince plastic surgeons, realtors and human resource managers that they must pick up their guns and fight or their families will die? Green Beret, Jeff Kirkham, and his buddies think they're locked and loaded for yet another war, but nothing can prepare them for the runaway violence of America after a cascade of terrorism, government blunder and Facebook nastiness strips away the urban dreamscape. At what point do everyday people turn the corner and become warriors?Co-written by a 28-year Green Beret and a lifelong survivalist, Black Autumn proves that common, everyday glitches in our system can add up to the total collapse of Western Civilization.Jump on the five book action series today, starting with Black Autumn: a Post-apocalyptic Saga. WHAT READERS ARE SAYING…“A gripping, genuine story of a group of survivors…The writing is top notch, the twists and turns come fast, and the action scenes are terrifyingly well written.”

Book Black Autumn: Surviving the Crash (The Black Autumn Series Book 1) Review :

I enjoy the post-apocalyptic genre, and love accurate gun handling portrayals. The plot was outlandish (then again, it IS a Black Swan event for a reason) and well-paced for what appears to be first time writers. The editing was top notch, and I can't recall spotting any typos or jarring errors.Unfortunately, the authors decided to write themselves into it (along with 200 of their closest friends). I get it; write what you know, but at least change the names or else it smacks even more of unoriginality. This might just be a pet peeve of mine.Any claims that this book is anything but fiction is foolish. Unless you are an independent millionaire who counts multiple SOF members among your close friends, there is nothing in this book that will help you with your own preps. When one co-author casually dropped spending $50,000 on a potential bug-out plan for an east coast bound daughter (and we know this because he wrote himself and his whole family into the novel), well let's say not all of us have that sort of scratch to spend on Plan C. This doesn't count the multi-million dollar complex our "hero" founds that the novel is based around.TL;DR Decent fanfic if it was in the $2-4 dollar range. For $10, I expect better and surmise that a good chunk of the 5 star reviews are from buddies who were written into the book. Best of luck in the future, folks!
TL;DR: Don't waster your money; this is a masturbatory ego jack-off by the authors, for the authors where they more or less brag about their prep and how they'd kill everyone to keep it. If you're looking for practical advice on prepping, I'd suggest the '299 Days' series. One of the major scenes in the book includes a nuclear detonation near the Port of Los Angeles and the authors must not have done thier research because between the tsunami that would hit the port, the LPG and Ethanol storage that would go off with the force of another nuclear blast, the destruction and subsequent sinking of other ships at port and awaiting offloading of cargo and LPG/Ethanol to the port, and the radiation that would salt the LA basin with radioactive fallout the authors fail to note that the Port is *the* major importer of consumer goods into the US and an attack on that port alone would crush the stock market all on it's own.The author's Facebook response to my criticism? "Interesting"#rolleyesI share the exasperation of other readers in seeing the authors write themselves into the story yet if this is meant to be an allegorical tale about why you should prep and how, it fails miserably and, frankly, comes across in some places as outright bragging about his prep - $15,000 NODS per person, $3000 rifles per person, Level IV body armor per person, etc, etc. not to mention casually dropping $50K to a storage facility for his daughter only to see her fly away from Baltimore and leave it all behind. VERY FEW of us have that level of cash on hand to drop into prepping so, as I said, this book turns into a masturbatory ego stroke by the authors to say 'look what we got and we'll fight you over it'.
